things:
got to talk to daph yesterday - sounds like amsterda-damn was off the hook (ps ask her about nick nolte), now she's in spain visiting her brother, waiting for the ibiza shows this weekend! i left work at 4:10, bought some film on the way home (35 + 120), sat in the AC for a while (it was wicked humid inside and out when i got home), had a pabst and started re-reading generation x by coupland. loaded up my nikon and headed to meet penni at union square - she was running a little late so i shot a few frames, met up with her and walked to chat 'n chew for dinner - it was nice to see her and catch up a bit - after eating we went to the strand and wandered around for a bit, then went our separate ways home. i rented "scanners" but totally passed out half-way through it... gonna have to watch the rest of it when i get home tonight, though i'm s'posed to meet some folks for drinks at yabby, and i'd like to drop by tainted lady to say hi to hillery.
listening to jon brion's meaningless, neutral milk hotel in the aeroplane..., phoenix alphabetical reading mcsweeney's issue 13 - comix rule!
so, long time no post
been busy over at music for robots.
busy working, when i'm actually at work, which thankfully hasn't really been all that much during the past month or so, since i've got vacation-days i have to use up.
busy on friday nights with my usual gig at flute bar, and there's gonna be the occasional wednesday-night-party at tainted lady.
for now i'm busy by my lonesome self, since my lady is off on a european tour for three weeks.
there's not much going on besides those few things - i want to get to work on silkscreening some t-shirts for the music blog, the apartment could use a good cleaning, and i'm starting to get hungry... tonight's menu: spaghetti!
1/2 pound ground beef
small red onion, diced
a few cloves of garlic, sliced thin
4 or 5 ripe roma tomatoes, chopped
splash of olive oil
oregano, salt & pepper to taste
1 package spaghetti
parmesan cheese, roughly shredded
put large pot of water on to boil - brown beef in saucepan, add onion and cook till transparent - at this point, add a dash of salt and splash of olive oil to pasta pot, and put the pasta on to cook - add garlic and tomatoes and cook about 15 minutes, add spices - when spaghetti is al dente, drain and coat with a small amount of olive oil - serve the sauce over the spaghetti, and sprinkle with cheese.
enjoy!

so robots topped out at over 3K hits yesterday... looks like our audience has expanded a bit - i wonder how many of those visitors will come back for more?
